    Spring Summer Adult Pickleball

    Class Descriptions

    Adult Beginner Pickleball Class, forplayers with anywhere from 0 to 20 hours experience. Use one of our paddles or bring your own. You will have fun learning rules, scorekeeping, technique, tactics, and etiquette. And yes, will be playing matches in each class. No experience required. Intermediate Pickleball Drill Session Fastpaced pickleball drill session for players, 2.5-4.0 level, or players who have at least 20hrs playing matches in a parks and rec setting. We will do a variety of drills and point play games that emphasize specific techniques and tactics that often come up in match play situations. You will hit a lot of balls andget a great workout as well. These drills will teach you skills you can apply when you are playing pickleball matches. Players must have at least 20hrs playing before registering for this class.

    Ferndale Classes

    Sunday, May 3-31, (skip Memorial Weekend) $102

    9-10:30am, Beginner, for players with anywhere from 0 to 20 hours of experience. You will learn rules, scorekeeping, basic techniques, tactics and etiquette.
    10:30am-noon, Intermediate, Next Level Drills and Tactics, players should have at least 20 hours of experience playing rec-level matches. We will drill specific shots and specific tactical situations that often come up in match play.

    HW Pickleball Classes

    Tues evenings, May 20, 27, June 3, 10, four 90-minute classes $112
    5:30-7pm, Beginner Pickleball, for players with anywhere from 0 to 20 hours experience. You will learn rules, scorekeeping, basic technique, tactics, and etiquette. We will also play matches. Paddles provided if needed.
    7-8:30pm, Intermediate/Advanced Pickleball Drill, Next Level Drills and Tactics, Players should have at least 20 hours of experience playing rec-level matches. We will drill specific shots, technique, and specific tactical situations that often come up in match play. We will discuss shot selection and court positioning.

    Ferndale Pickleball Tournament,

    Sat July 26
    Beginner and Advanced Divisions, we have a division that fits your level! Non-elimination format, 3 game minimum guarantee.
    A fun, friendly community-based pickleball tournament. Two divisions, beginner and advance. Register on your own. If you have a partner, you can indicate that when you register. If you do not have a partner we can match you up with one. You must know the rules of pickleball, how to serve and keep score. No referees. You must know how to resolve conflicts amicably.
    $35/player. Doubles partners must each register individually. You can tell us when you register if you have a partner.

    Beginner Division 9am-noon: 2.5 - 3.0 level or equivalent. Players should know how to serve and keep score. They come to the net on occasion but do not have reliable 3rd shot strategies. They may not be comfortable volleying nor have a high-level understanding of court positioning. If you're around the bottom 50% of rec play, you're good for this level.

    Advanced Division noon-3pm 3.5 - 4.0 level or equivalent. Players at this level get to the net during almost every point. They understand and can apply 3rd shot strategies, volleys and court positioning. If you're around the top 50% of rec play, this level is for you.

    Spring Pickleball Tournament

    Sat May 16 2026, (rain date May 17)

    Beginner, 9am-noon, (Max 20 players, so 10 teams)

    Advanced noon-3pm(Max 20 players, so 10 teams)
