Adult Pickleball Tournament
A fun, friendly community-based pickleball tournament. Two divisions, beginner and advanced. If you have a partner you can indicate that when you register. If you do not have a partner we can match you up with one. You must know the rules of pickleball, how to serve and keep score. No referees. You must know how to resolve conflicts amicably.Register individually; Doubles partners must indicate your desired partner when you register.
Must provide own equipment and wear appropriate footwear.
Sat, Dec, 27, Beginner & Advanced Divisions
Beginner 11am-2pm
2.5-3.0 level or equivalent. Players come to the net on occasion but do not have rally reliable 3rd shot, volley strategies, and they may not have a high level understanding of court positioning.Register at: Sterling Hts Beginner
Advanced 2-5pm
3.5 and up level or equivalenent. Players at this level get to the net on almost every point and they understand and can apply 3rd shot strategies, volleys and court positioning. If you're around the top 50% of rec play at the Community Center, this level is for you.

Kids' Tennis Tournament

This is a fun low-pressure, community-based tennis competition for your child!!!! Non-elimination, each doubles team will play between 3 and 5 matches against opponents of similar skill. They will spend most of the time on court playing, with minimal down time. You can indicate a doubles partner at registration or register alone and we will partner players. Entry Level 9-10:30am, recommended age 5-8 simplified serving and scoring. Any child who can serve underhand with somereliability is welcome in this event. Simplified serving and scoring will be used in this group. Court monitors will help them keep score. If you can count to 7, you can keep score in this one. Suggested age 4-7yrsBeginner Level Participants in this group can rally an easyball reliably but cannot hit topspin reliably nor use a continental grip. Simplified serving and scoring will be used in this group. If you can drop feed a ball and count to 7, you can play in this division. Suggested age 7
to 13 years.Intermediate Level Traditional serving and scoring. Participants must know how to serve and keep scoring in this group. Suggested age 9 to 18 years.
